What Is Privacy Disclosure Agreement

A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) can be classified as unilateral, bilateral or multilateral: definitions of confidential information describe the categories or types of information covered by the agreement. This specific element serves to establish the rules – or object/consideration – of the contract without actually disclosing the exact information. For example, a confidentiality agreement for an exclusive designer clothing store might include a statement like this: “Confidential information includes customer lists and purchase history, credit and financial information, innovative processes, inventory, and sales figures.” The agreement will also define the cases of permitted disclosure (e.g. B to law enforcement agencies) and disclosure exemptions.
