A little break from all the naughtiness to do a photo challenge! Adam’s Photo Challenge came back for the month of June, and am I glad it was. The challenge was to recreate a scene in a movie or television show, and I have seen some amazing entries so far. I thought at first I’d do something from my favorite movie, Lord of the Rings – I have the ears after all, so why not pay tribute to Arwen. However, we all know that I’m not a little right in the head, right? . . .
My current obsession during this pandemic is 90 Day Fiance. I have watched previous seasons but not religiously mostly because I didn’t really watch a ton of TV. Getting a Roku tv in the office though? My downfall for sure, haha. I started Before the 90 Days this past season and Darcy was on it, which just reminded me of the first season she was on with Jessie, and this iconic scene. So, I went outside my normal purple hair comfort box and tried to recreate it. How did I do?

I love participating in Adam’s Photo Challenge when I have the time. And this time was a hard one! He wanted us to spotlight a creator and do a photo centered around them. Honestly, there are so many amazing ones in our SLives. How do you choose one?
I wanted to focus on one who gives back and does the most good, also someone who I know personally and I love with every ounce of my cold, dark heart.
Kaitlyn Pruitt-Anatine Jaxx has a knack for making tees and hoodies that I love, and this is no exception. She puts a line out for every charity event just about, and this is one of the ones she’s done for Camping for a Cure’s RFL season. There’s some for Ark, wow, and just gaming in general including these D&D ones. They’re 150 for a 3-pack and for an amazing cause. You can find them at Camp Anatine so just ask for the slurl or look it up!
Relay for Life is a cause that I am passionate about, as I’ve seen cancer ruin the lives of some pretty awesome people. The fact that Kaitlyn and GI goes out of her way to help anyone and everyone she can. That is why she is my first Content Creator Spotlight Artist. I love you, Kaitypants, my baby mama and confidant.
Keep being awesome.

Adam’s photo challenge this time around was much more to my liking for sure than last month. I did it (It was shoot someone else in SL) and loved taking a photo of my auntie Kimmy for it, but It puts too much pressure on me to do other people right now. I guess I”m just weird. But this one? This one had purpose and I loved it.
The Evans Country Club & Resort is amazingly built.
I knew immediately upon walking around what I wanted my first photo to be. I had this tennis dress that I’ve been wanting to feature that is an older Dead Dollz release, but man do I love it paired with these shoes and a ponytail! I forgot how much so until I put it on. So, hopefully, you like it as much as I do!

This weekend’s photo challenge was a hard one, but good one! You were supposed to green screen yourself and take the image and insert it into a real life photo of a destination or travel scene. I chose this particular photo because it’s one of my favorite places. This is at Printers Alley in Nashville, TN, right outside my favorite bar of all time – Bourbon St. Blues and Boogie Bar. I’m fairly certain the shot was taken around Mardi Gras too due to the decor! If you are ever in this lovely city, you have to go! The cajun food is to die for and the hurricanes are legendary.
I am fairly certain I’ve used this outfit before but it screamed country (it is in Nashville after all) but also chic at the same time. So here we are!

I am super excited for this photo, because I got to choose the weekend challenge this time. I chose underwater life with light beams from above the surface. This particular shot gave me the perfect excuse to break out the mermaid getup I’d only used once or twice (at a venue I used to play at that was underwater). I took inspiration from a poem on my friend Porter’s profile by the inspiring Tapiwa Mugabe, which I have included below:
All she wanted
was to find a place to stretch her bones.
A place to lengthen her smiles
and spread her hair.
A place where her legs could walk
without cutting and bruising.
A place unchained.
She was born out of ocean breath.
I reminded her;
‘Stop pouring so much of yourself
into hearts that have no room
Do not thin yourself.
You do not bring the ocean to a river.
Profound words, indeed. I searched a few different sims looking for the right underwater spot to take my photo, and the beautiful Hana Aloha Surfing Paradise sim was the final spot to call my name. It’s gorgeous both below water and above surface.
I am leaving tomorrow morning for the weekend to attend my RL sister’s wedding! Congratulations to her and her family as they get bigger. My last show is tonight at 10 PM at After Dark, and when I return I’ll be back at Stanza at 9pm Sunday evening.

Markus Allen has put out a photo contest and the theme is “vintage.” I know that when most people think vintage, they think flowers and 50s outfits or even earlier. I had two different ideas pop into my head. First I was thinking bell bottoms, fringe, long hippie hair and flowers at Woodstock. But then? My better idea. A rockabilly outfit and a retro diner scene. So, born out of the photo contest was this.
This is for charity! If you have an idea for a photo you should go enter too! If you aren’t about entering, at least come to vote! It’s for a good cause and I’ll support RFL for life. CLICK HERE TO GO VOTE! voting costs $100 per vote but it all goes to RFL!
